Work Schedule
Tuesday - Saturday 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for supervising DCS Intake Specialists and support staff at the Child Abuse Hotline.

JOB DUTIES:

- Supervise a unit of DCS Intake Specialists and support staff at the Child Abuse Hotline
- Perform on-going evaluations of staff performance
- Practice within a Safety Science framework
- Onboard and train new personnel
- Monitor real-time adherence and responds appropriately to ensure calls are answered timely
- Track monitor and analyze historical data reports in order to identify trends and patterns related to quality and safety
- Perform Screened-Out Intake and After Hours Intake Reviews
- Adhere to and supports the departments performance management methodology
- When business needs exist is able to work outside of regularly scheduled shift and adjust schedule for meetings and trainings
- Required to work a minimum of 4 state Holidays one must be Thanksgiving or Christmas and one must be Memorial Day or 4th of July.
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Training:
DCS Specialist Training track and DCS Specialist Hotline training track classroom sessions unless this training has been completed within the previous two years.
DCS Program Supervisor Training Track.
Note: Training will be provided. Classroom sessions are held in Phoenix.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Masters or Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university AND
o Three (3) years of experience with the Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS).

OR
o -Masters or Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university
o Two (2) years of combined experience in the DCS Specialist Trainee DCS Specialist DCS Program Specialist Investigator Sr. or Assistant Manager role. AND
o Six (6) months of experience in a DCS Program Supervisor Special Assignment role.

OR
o Masters or Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university AND
o Two (2) years of combined experience in the DCS Specialist Trainee DCS Specialist DCS Program Specialist Investigator Sr. or Assistant Manager role. AND
o One (1) year of professional-level supervisory experience.


Note: Request proof of professional-level supervisory experience will be requested after candidate has been recommended for hire.
Professional-level supervisory experience is defined as being responsible for managing personnel allocating resources conducting performance evaluations reviewing salaries and making personnel action recommendations.

OR
o Masters or Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university AND
o Five (5) years of combined experience with a Government or Tribal Child Welfare agency or an Arizona agency that specializes in child welfare practice..

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Must be able to secure and maintain clearance from the Guardian Central Registry.

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).
