Title: Program Manager III
Location: Primary locations: Minneapolis MN or Denver CO. Hybrid schedule (Tuesday Thursday onsite). Flexibility for occasional workshops on Mondays/Fridays. Non-local candidates considered with ability to travel.
Role Overview
The Program Manager III will lead a large-scale transformational program to replace Xcel Energys existing SAP Work Manager field execution tool with a new solution. This role involves managing a Systems Integrator (SI) ensuring adherence to internal processes and driving delivery across multiple workstreams impactingfrontline workers across eight states.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as Xcel Energys primary contact for the SI and manage overall program delivery.
Ensure SI follows internal processes and meets milestones and deliverables.
Manage risks issues and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
Partner with internal IT teams business stakeholders and steering committees.
Facilitate consensus among diverse stakeholders and maintain program momentum.
Oversee program budget and escalate issues as needed.
Engage with frontline workers during requirements validation and rollout phases.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience leading large-scale programs with multiple workstreams.
Experience deploying technology solutions to frontline workers.
Strong background in program management within regulated industries (utilities preferred).
Ability to partner with Systems Integrators and manage vendor relationships.
Excellent communication facilitation and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP or Salesforce field execution tools.
PMP or similar delivery certifications (preferred not required).
Background in consulting or delivery roles at large firms (e.g. Accenture).
Project Details
Initial Duration: 12 months (program expected to run 2 3 years). Assignment extension will be re-evaluated every 6-12 months.
Start Date: Target second or third week of January 2026.
Business Area: Field Work Execution Transformation.
Reason for Hire: Net new role to lead major technology replacement initiative.
Travel Requirements
Approximately 25% travel to service centers and field locations for workshops ride-alongs and validation activities. Travel reimbursed at cost.
