Job Summary
Job Title: Locum Physician - Psychiatry - Inpatient
Join a dynamic team at a leading hospital in Anderson South Carolina seeking locum coverage for a Psychiatrist to support their inpatient behavioral health unit. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient psychiatric care to an average of 20 patients per day.
- Prescribe medications including narcotics and conduct pre-admission screenings according to CMS guidelines.
- Document weekly care plans and comprehensive discharge summaries.
- Supervise mid-level healthcare providers such as Nurse Practitioners.
- Participate in a call rotation with a 1:4 ratio.
- Collaborate with a team of four physicians on call.
- Utilize EPIC for documentation and electronic medical records management.
Qualifications:
- Must be Board Certified in Psychiatry.
- Fellowship training in psychiatry is preferred.
- Must have an active South Carolina medical license.
- Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active South Carolina medical license is required.
- Board Certification in Psychiatry is required.
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) is required.
