Job Summary

Key responsibilities

Technical Expertise

Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for marine Electrical Automation and Navigation systems.

Electrical systems including but not limited to: Power generation and distribution of High Voltage and Low Voltage consumer (Variable Frequence Drive (VFD) pumps motors HVAC Auxiliary etc..) and Propulsion system (Shaft generators hybrid system etc)

Automation system including but not limited to: Integrated Automation System (Kongsberg K-Chief) Control & Monitoring System (Hyundai ACONIS)

Bridge equipment including but not limited to: Sat-C VSAT/FB Radar ECDIS Gyroscopes AIS Autopilots Echo Sounder BNWAS Steering Gear GPS Anemometer (JRC Sperry or Furuno)

Be able to utilize computerized maintenance management systems and contribute to evolving planned maintenance system philosophy and practice.

Support Digitization Technology Evolution Efforts by having knowledge and experience with advanced Industrial Automation & Control system (Kongsberg Kchief) Networking & Cybersecurity with maritime domain expertise

Lead design reviews system upgrades and alteration projects for E&A systems.

Operational Support

Provide day-to-day troubleshooting alteration input and technical support to vessel staff and engineering superintendents directly supporting daily technical operations for LNG LPG and oil vessel

Attend vessel new construction facilities shipyard drydocking out-of-service periods and other overhauls; perform voyage repairs and advisement onboard.

Ensure vessel operational readiness system integrity and lifecycle management for E&A equipment. o Work flexible schedules across different time zones and able travel domestic or international at least 30% of job scope

Project Leadership

Lead contractors OEM or technical teams to execute onsite repairs or alteration to vessels.

Take initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and drive continuous improvement E&A projects.

Collaboration & Mentoring

Collaborate with internal teams (Fleet Technical Reliability Asset Management Shipyard/Overhaul OE/HES) and external maritime partners.

Mentor vessel staff and engineering teams sharing knowledge and supporting training and development opportunities.

Continuous Improvement

Support develop and implement lifecycle asset management programs for marine electrical equipment.

Identify and propose solutions for training needs and process improvements.

Communication & Cooperation

Build collaborative relationships internally and externally to improve team effectiveness.

Communicate effectively with vessel onboard teams contractors and stakeholders.
