The Physician Assistant is responsible to provide healthcare services to patients in the clinic under direction and responsibility of physician(s).
This is a full-time position working out of our Plymouth and Maple Grove clinics.
Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health) a group of local medical practices owned and led by its physicians on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.
Essential Functions:
- Practice independently in the clinic by treating patients with non-operative orthopedic conditions (e.g. room and prep patients; order x-rays; MRIs physical therapy compile patient medical data including health history and results of physical examination)
- Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections splinting casting suturing dressing change supply fitting and wound care
- Implement patient management plans record progress and assist in provision of care
- Prescribe medications
- Assess and manage concussion treatment plans
- Periodically first assist in the OR
- Exercise good judgment when the need arises to consult/refer case to a surgeon or consulting physician.
- Occasionally participate in community functions relating to TCO outreach events throughout the year.
- Any and all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Successful completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- NCCPA certification
- Minnesota Board of Medical Practice registration/license
- DEA registration
- >2 years prior orthopedic experience required

- Frequentlyâlift up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Requires the ability to stand walk bend and move continuously throughout the shift.
- Must be able to frequently perform physical activities such as pushing pulling and reaching.
- Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.
- Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.
- Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g. computer phone printer).
