3-Month Contract with a Local Authority
- This role involves working directly with families children and young people aged 0-18 to support their development and well-being. The position requires collaboration with professionals and agencies to ensure positive outcomes and life opportunities for children and young people in Worcestershire. Responsibilities include assessing planning and reviewing family needs to provide timely support for their current and future requirements.
- Conduct direct work and support for children including pre-schoolers and their families as part of assessments plans or reviews.
- Encourage and empower parents/carers to take responsibility for meeting their childrens needs.
- Enhance parents and carers understanding of child development and needs.
- Support the care of children within their families through parenting support.
- Work with families at high risk of breakdown.
- Ensure child safety through assessment and planning processes.
Essential Experience
- Significant experience in a similar service area working with children or families needing additional support.
- Experience collaborating with families and networks to help individuals achieve their goals.
- Practical skills in working directly with children young people and families to advise support and engage them.
- Experience in developing positive relationships with children and young people and multi-agency partnership working.
- Ability to work with young people with social and emotional difficulties and complex behaviors supporting the entire family.
Essential Qualifications
- Education level equivalent to NVQ 3 in a relevant field (Childcare Early Years Social Care or similar) or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of family support services and activities offered by various organizations and agencies.
Additional Information
- Working hours: 35 hours per week
- We work on Bi-weekly payments
- DBS required
