Job Overview
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records supporting month-end closing activities and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The role supports day-to-day accounting operations while providing reliable financial information to aid management decision-making within a hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Transactions & Record Keeping
Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger entries
Prepare review and post journal entries with appropriate documentation and account coding
Perform bank supplier and balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner
Maintain accurate financial records in line with internal policies and procedures
Month-End Close & Reporting
Support month-end and year-end closing processes including accruals and adjustments
Prepare financial reports schedules and reconciliations for management review
Assist in analyzing variances and trends to support operational and financial planning
Compliance & Internal Controls
Ensure compliance with accounting standards tax regulations and internal financial controls
Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit queries
Support continuous improvement of financial controls and accounting processes
Cash & Vendor Management
Monitor cash movements and assist with cash flow management
Manage supplier accounts statements reconciliations and payment processing
Liaise with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing or payment discrepancies
Cross-Functional Support
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
35 years of relevant accounting experience preferably in hospitality service or property environments
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
High level of accuracy organisation and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Hands-on experience in guest service housekeeping coordination or property operations preferred.
