FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets with anadditionalpresence in all the major international markets and specialistexpertisein selected emerging markets and products.

Within FM the Client Solutions Group (CSG) consists of set of specialized derivative experts one of these is the EMEA Commodity Derivatives Sales team based in Amsterdam. The Commodity derivatives platform is a key growth pillar of FM globally and especially in EMEA is in the middle of a shift towards a more sustainable product offering for the ING client base.

Your role

With CSG Commodities you will be a full part of the team and have direct client contact for pitches and trades and act as key contact point between relationship managers clients traders research local sales locations throughout EMEA and credit risk. You are responsible to grow the commodity franchise from a P&L perspective as well as in terms of the sustainable product offering and arerequiredto develop and offer high value add structured solutions to INGs clients.

Your key responsibilities

You will be the link between clients commodity trading credit exposure management the Wholesale bank sectors (Energy CF&A DC T&L) senior managementand alsothe different sales locations in EMEA:

  • Transact daily with clients in Energy(crudeoil distillates natural gas)MetalsandCarbon markets.
  • Manage and growPnLwithin INGs risk appetite for locations & sectors you willbe responsible for.
  • Prepare pitches and presentations with HVA commodity solutions to clients sector stakeholders senior management.
  • Empowerdevelopand motivate thejuniorteam members into HVA commodity experts.
  • Supportthe deskin deliveringonthecommodities growth planand steeringthe strategic priorities.
  • Align with commodity trading to ensure commodity sales and trading act as one team.
  • Be involved in process projects such as the improvement of the DSD platform the development of capital velocity for commodity exposureand sustainability linked commodity transactions.
  • Participatefrom the commodity sales sidein aligning our internal pricing/capitalpricingmodels with the responsible teams.

  • Mastersdegreein econometrics business economics financial engineering and/or CFA or equivalent academics
  • Deepknowledge ofand experience infinancial marketsCommodityproducts(experience of8years)
  • Proventrack recordin commodity derivatives salesand managing Key accounts with access todecision makers.
  • In depth understanding ofeither Energy and/or Metals(derivatives) markets.
  • Carbon or power derivatives experience is considered a plus.
  • Empathic team player withexcellentcommunication skills
  • Entrepreneurial and commercial drive
  • Eager to learn and share knowledge with colleagues ready to grow junior staff
  • Ability to work independently on various transactions/projects at the same time often under pressure and to prioritize resources accordingly
  • Fluent in English both verbally andin writinganadditionalEuropean language is considered a plus
