Why are we searching for you
Werededicated to helping students find their ideal study program. However many have expressed a need for more guidance than just a search for more personalized counseling. This is where AI comes in and potentially the lookout for someone who can help develop and enhance an AI advisor. It would understand each students unique needs and preferences. Initiallyitllassistin finding suitable study programs. Beyond that we envision it creating a helpful profile for each student by learning about them through interactions. This tailored approach aims to help studentsto makeinformed decisions and find theirdreamstudy.

What are your three main goals
- You will build AI-driven features that help students find study opportunities that truly fit them. By using search behavior and student data you improve relevance recommendations and guidance across the platform making discovery more personal and engaging
- You will strengthen core student systems such as registrations logins and email nurturing flows. By connecting search insights with student profiles and communication you help students stay engaged and confidently move toward their ideal study choice
- Help usto becomemore scalable as aplatformby decoupling our dependencies and driving our microservice architecture. Staying in control of quality is key!
How does your team look like
The Product Engineering department consists of 35 are part of a scrum team offive. Your Product Owner (PO)setsthe product are together with the Product Owner responsible for designing and implementing new functionalities aimed at growing our user engagement targets. This means that you as a developer haveinfluenceon what to build and how to build it. You report to ourHead of Engineering Stefan. He started as a developer at Studyportalsand knows his way around the systems. His main responsibility is to make sure you can do your work in the bestpossible way taking away impediments drivingtechnicalinnovationandmakingsure you can be the best version of yourself.
What Tech Stack do we use
The technology behind Studyportals platforms is based on PHP Typescript Node/NPMDockerand allour systems have been developed in-house and are following modern quality standards. We work in a service-oriented architecture powered by our own RESTful API and parallel we are scaling up our infrastructure moving towards SOC2 compliance.
We also experiment withnew technologieswhen they help us innovate faster or smarter - from AI tooling toemergingframeworks.
Requirements
- At least a bachelors degree preferably in Computer Science or a related field
- You have4yearsofexperience as a Full Stack Web Developer
- Experience building applications inJavaScriptcomponent-based frameworks ( React or Angular). Modern JavaScript TypeScript NPM and Webpack. Proficient in both Front-end and Back-end development
- HTML5 and SCSS/CSS3 are second nature to you and you care about performance accessibility and responsive design
- You have a solutions architect level of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and know how to design and build distributed cloud native applications
- You have a proventrack recordof architecting and implementing scalable and reliable back-end systems
- Experience with (different typesof) automated testing as part of CI/CD driven software development
- You write clean modular and maintainable code following SOLID and modern software design principles
- You like to collaborate appreciate open communication and are comfortable with working cross-functionally
