We anticipate the need for one or more Relay Assistant(s) at ourRice StreetService Center in St. Paul MN. The starting rate of pay for this position is $39.20 hourly (2025 rate). This position will be posted for 10 working days from February 3 2026 to February 16 2026.

Summary:

Work with St. Paul Relay Specialists performing their day-to-day work activities in substations or at locations to complete their duties. This type of work will include substation maintenance inspections trouble work new construction and gas controls. Physical demands include but are not limited to lifting carrying climbing handling kneeling and reaching.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have a high school diploma.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Must pass a relay related test.
Must be able to work in manholes and vaults.
Must be capable of operating man lifts in substations safely and work in high places.

Selection criteria will include testing assessment and interview.

Candidates must have either passed the Relay test within the past five years or currently hold a position under the System Relay Specialist classifications.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $39.20 to $41.97 per hour
