standing with the Church. Passionate and knowledgeable about the
Catholic faith and evangelization.
Essential Job Functions:
- The Digital Evangelization Specialist will:
o Lead the curation development and presentation of compelling digital content that brings to life the beauty goodness and truth of the Catholic faith.
o Collaborate with other internal and external stakeholders to foster a digital strategy that drives engagement of Catholics with this content.
o Contribute content focused on the pastoral priorities of the Diocese as articulated in its strategic plan.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Lead the curation development and presentation of compelling digital content that brings to life the beauty goodness and truth of the Catholic faith.
a. Curates creates and presents a compelling digital content (including video) that brings to life the beauty goodness and truth of the Catholic faith. This includes original and syndicated content at the local national and global levels.
b. Strategically grow Catholic digital engagement by leveraging platform-specific content strategies coordinated distribution and performance insights while ensuring all efforts support the Churchs mission of evangelization.
c. Monitor trends in digital publishing consumer attitudes and Catholic evangelization with an eye toward new opportunities.
2. Collaborates with other internal and external stakeholders to support digital evangelization efforts across all departments in the Pastoral Center.
a. Coordinate with external essential collaborators to support evangelization efforts across all departments in the Pastoral Center by offering best practices in content creation and website support.
b. Track analyze and report on relevant metrics after concluding campaigns/projects with internal and external collaborators.
c. Form productive working relationships with digital evangelization leaders outside of the Diocese and internal stakeholders of the Diocese.
d. Participate in important Diocesan priorities/activities as articulated by the Bishop the Director of Communications and the Evangelization & Mission team.
e. Use a project management process to track progress from inception to implementation
3. Collaborates with parishes to assist in widening their digital footprints including social media and website presences.
a. Act as subject matter expert for parishes with questions on how to use their social media accounts and best practices for websites.
b. Assist parishes in setting up websites using Google Sites.
c. Encourage parishes to be digitally active by providing social media content through Catholic Social Media.
d. Support parish ministries through promotion on the diocese website (sharing events publishing articles etc).

Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in media studies graphic design advertising communications or related field.
- 2 years of work experience in communications or evangelization.
- Preferred applicants will be proficient in: Microsoft Office Google Workspace Canva Adobe InDesign Adobe PremierePro.
- Professional experience in content creation social media and digital marketing. Possess a good understanding of the full range of digital communication platforms and cross-platform optimization. Has an eye toward future/developing platforms.
- Has a basic understanding of photography.
- General knowledge of SEO including current trends and upcoming developments.
- General familiarity with the array of Catholic Church messaging including Vatican-related United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and other magisterial resources along with more popular sources in accord with Church teaching.
