About The Role:
- Mater Hospital Pre-Admission Clinic is seeking an experienced Registered/Enrolled Nurse to join our Pre-Admission Clinic in a patient triage-focused role.
- This position requires the successful applicant to support safe and efficient preoperative planning by completing pre- admission triaging identifying and escalating clinical risks and ensuring high quality documentation for planned admissions.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-admission triage assessments for surgical overnight patients.
- Identify and escalate clinical risks to ensure readiness for admission
- Contacting patients to review and validate health history. Providing patients with education regarding preoperative preparation and admission information.
- Maintaining accurate documentation in Meditech and Webpas.
About You:
- AHPRA registered.
- Previous experience in pre-admission desirable.
- Awareness of the Australian National Standards and accreditation principles.
- Commitment to providing excellent clinical care.
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
- Familiarity with electronic information systems such as Meditech and Webpas.

About The Mater:
In this role you will be based at the Mater hospital North Sydney.
- One of Sydneys premier private hospitals.
- Close by to train stations at North Sydney St Leonards and Crows Nest and buses on Pacific Highway.
- The only Australian hospital that is a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres.
- Core specialties include Obstetrics Orthopaedics including hip and knee joint replacements bone and sports injuries cardiology cancer care and surgery lung and vascular medicine ear nose and throat surgery urology endocrine surgery and neurosurgery.
