Job Summary
NewsNation is currently seeking a creative experienced and pro-active full-time Technical Assistant to join our team at the New York Bureau. As a Technical Assistant you will work in different control room and studio positions with a focus on prompter.
Responsibilities: The Technical Assistants responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operate teleprompter using Cuescript software
Ability to be flexible adapt to changing speech patterns
Multitask by listening to anchors and correspondents while taking cues from directors and producers
Fill in on other control room and studio positions as needed
Qualifications:
Prior control room and studio experience in broadcast facilities.
Excellent communication skills in a fast-paced environment are a must.
Familiarity with ENPS. All day parts (mornings evenings weekends and holidays) may be a part of the schedule with overtime as situations demand.
This is an IBEW position and membership is required.
Salary Range: $35.00 - $40.00 Hourly (per experience)
