The Health & Safety Manager (E&S) will lead the development and implementation of an effective safety and risk management system across all E&S sites in support of the JB Hi-Fi Groups compliance wellbeing and business objectives.
*Please note this is a fixed-term contract role until end October 2026*
Develop and implement the E&S Safety Management System to ensure effective policies procedures risk assessments and strategies that reduce safety risks reduce financial impacts compliance and demonstrate continuous improvement of safety results.
Contribute to development and facilitation of training and coaching to increase skills knowledge and awareness of legislation and obligations for key stakeholders.
Work collaboratively with the Group General Manager Health Safety and Wellbeing to develop a strategic Health and Safety Plan with key risk management objectives targets and timeframes.
Support and maintain the implementation of the Groups Contract Management and incident reporting systems across E&S.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to proactively identify and act on safety concerns to reduce risk.
Ensure all high-risk notifiable incidents and improvement notices including those relating to contractors are managed across all sites ensuring legislative compliance by implementing appropriate investigations and controls.
Manage external party relationships (e.g. Work Safe contractors equipment suppliers etc.) to ensure the provision of exceptional customer service compliance and cost-effective outcomes in a timely manner.
Review key risk indicators and trends through regular reporting and communication to stakeholders including a leadership role in the E&S Safety Committee.
Ensure that all required safety materials are prepared and aligned across business areas and continuously improve communication flows and processes ensuring the most effective and efficient means of delivery.
Participate in ad hoc projects as required.
Qualifications :
Relevant qualification in Work Health & Safety (Diploma or Cert IV).
Exposure to warehouse and retail environments in a safety capacity including forklift safety and traffic management.
Minimum 5 years experience in a role with key health and safety responsibilities and leadership.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of WHS Act Occupational Healthy Safety Act and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and relevant governing bodies.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
