The Lowry Studios Front Desk Reception & Operations Assistant is responsible for monitoring building activity and facilitating various operational tasks at Lowry this role the student will greet and assist visitors to the building communicate with faculty and department staff about mail arrivals deliveries and other daily happenings and serve as a reliable point of contact for operations needs. The student may be asked to assist with facility tours or other department events. This position is ideal for a Cinematic Arts student with a consistent schedule who can be friendly and professional when dealing with walk-in visitors and show substantial operational awareness in an academic setting.

JOB DUTIES

  • Monitor and track non-student access to building (answer doorbell etc.).
  • Greet visitors and direct them to appropriate CCA staff or department as needed.
  • Facilitate mail distribution to staff and faculty.
  • Alert faculty and staff to deliveries.
  • Provide information on campus services department events and office locations.
  • Answer front desk phone and other general inquires.
  • Assist with flyer distribution and collection.
  • Maintain a welcoming organized and professional front desk environment.
  • Assist the Department Staff with additional operational duties as assigned.
  • Take responsibility for timesheet time off tracking hours and making adjustments in the schedule as per work study allotment communicating any schedule changes in advance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Cinematic Arts student (enrolled in FVM classes).
  • Strong sense of responsibility reliability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in both independent and in collaborative environments.
  • Demonstrate professionalism when dealing with visitors vendors students and staff.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to ask for help and problem solve.
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft suite programs a plus (Outlook Word Excel).
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have completed FAFSA on file
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum six (6) credit hours
  • Must NOT have yet obtained 1st Bachelors Degree
  • Must be seeking an eligible program of study
