Job Summary

The National Center for Girls Leadership at Stuart (NCGLS) supports the empowerment of the next generation of female leaders through research professional programming and the development of innovative leadership experiences and curriculum for our K-12 student body and wider community partners.

The Director of the NCGLS will elevate the NCGLS mission and vision using the Cor Cordis Philosophy and the Sacred Heart Goals and Criteria as the guiding compass and in close partnership with Stuarts Leadership order to support our future female leaders the Director of NCGLS will further develop the course work experiences and internal and external collaborations and connections necessary to ensure the success of all our Stuart girls.

We are seeking a Director for the National Center for Girls Leadership at Stuart who can:

Responsibilities

  • Provide training and assessment for teachers in developing and executing an intentional leadership curriculum (Cor Cordis) that builds upon itself from K through Grade 12

  • Oversee and teach sustainable leadership courses across divisions that highlight the intersection of spirituality wellness and social identity including all Middle and Upper School leadership courses.

  • Oversee the Leadership Endorsement Program including teaching courses and developing leadership experiences for students

  • Develop a framework for an ongoing Leadership Portfolio that allows each Stuart girl to document coursework experiences and reflections related to leadership beginning in Lower School

  • Oversee the NCGLS Summer STEM Program

  • Work with all divisions to develop local and global signature leadership experiences for Stuart students

  • Design promote and execute the Stuart Leadership Gap Year program. Mentor participants during the program.

  • Work with the Director of Summer and Auxiliary Programs to create and execute summer leadership courses and camps to increase enrollment beginning summer 2026

2. Faculty Development & Capacity Building

  • Build internal capacity by training faculty to infuse leadership development throughout curriculum and programming (teaching teachers)

  • Collaborate with faculty and staff across divisions to ensure leadership education is integrated schoolwide

  • Partner with the Curriculum Committee to help students hone essential skills core to the principles of NCGLS leadership development.

3. Partnerships & External Collaboration

  • Create partnerships and opportunities for students to apply learning and deepen understanding through service work internships and professional experiences

  • In partnership with the Director of College Advising Alumnae Relations and the Upper School Office create and maintain systems to educate students about leadership-related opportunities particularly related to fields where women have been traditionally underrepresented.

  • Forge partnerships with other all-girls schools colleges universities and nonprofits to expand Stuarts leadership curriculum and student opportunities

  • Build and run the annual Cor Cordis Speaker Series in partnership with the leadership team

  • Execute the annual NCGLS Networking Event

4. Reputation Communications & Visibility

  • In partnership with Marketing and Communications develop and maintain an ongoing strategic communications plan to increase reputational awareness of the Center

  • Represent the National Center for Girls Leadership at Stuart at events for alumnae current and prospective parents and fundraising initiatives

  • Present and participate in conferences and community groups to elevate the profile of Stuart and NCGLS

5. Strategic Growth & Stakeholder Management

  • In partnership with the Development Office set strategic efforts to meet and match fundraising goals for NCGLS

  • Support Capital Campaign and sponsorship initiatives aligned with the Centers mission

  • Oversee the NCGLS Advisory Board including organizing quarterly meetings executing action items and identifying prospective leaders

Women have made great strides over the past three decades but there is a palpable need for their continued ascent. Stuart intends to take the lead. Our newly approved Capital Campaign includes a commitment to raising $in funding for the National Center for Girls Leadership at Stuart over the next three years. Between our Capital Campaign efforts and our growing number of corporate conference sponsors we are well-poised for success.



Requirements

  • A Master of Education or Ph.D. in leadership curriculum marketing or related field preferred

  • Experience teaching Leadership course work

  • Experience in Diversity Leadership and Inclusion training

  • Conference Development/Execution

  • Superior interpersonal and collaboration skills

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Management experience


Position Details

  • Classification: Exempt

  • This position is available as a 10-month or 12-month role; compensation and benefits align with the selected term

The hiring range for this position is $70000 to $95000. Compensation offered will be based upon a candidates education years of experience skill set and internal equity.
