Job Summary
Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
Location: Rochester NY
Assignment Type: Travel / Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Variable (Days/Nights as assigned)
Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts
Total Hours: 36 hours per week
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join a fast-paced acute care hospital environment. The ER RN will provide immediate high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing urgent emergent and life-threatening conditions while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary emergency care teams.
Responsibilities
Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on acuity
Provide emergency nursing care for trauma medical and surgical emergencies
Administer medications IV therapy and emergency treatments as prescribed
Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status
Assist with emergency procedures and resuscitations
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Collaborate effectively with physicians paramedics and support staff
Ensure compliance with hospital policies safety standards and emergency protocols
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York or compact where applicable)
Minimum 12 years of recent Emergency Room experience
Current BLS certification required
ACLS PALS and TNCC preferred
Strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities
