Sector: CNC / Precision Engineering / ManufacturingThe OpportunityWe are seeking a Group Sales & Marketing Manager to drive and accelerate growth within a well-established CNC precision engineering business based in the North West.This is a senior hands-on role suited to a commercially driven individual who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment enjoys autonomy and is motivated by building sustainable profitable growth without compromising margin or quality.The role focuses on localised business development strengthening long-term customer relationships and identifying new revenue streams aligned to milling and turning operations.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Commercial Leadership- Drive year-on-year revenue growth while protecting margin
- Develop strong market intelligence for current and future services
- Build and grow long-term customer relationships
- Identify qualify and convert new business opportunities
- Propose and deploy new revenue streams aligned to operational capability
- Lead and participate in commercial negotiations
- Issue quotes using costing information provided by operations
- Develop and maintain the CRM system ensuring pipeline visibility
Marketing & Brand Alignment- Develop and implement sales-led marketing strategies
- Utilise appropriate media channels to support lead generation
- Ensure commercial messaging aligns with operational strengths
Senior Leadership Contribution- Provide regular commercial reporting to senior leadership
- Contribute to annual planning and growth initiatives
- Propose and deliver continuous business improvements
Operational & Leadership Support- Provide leadership cover and oversight when required
- Inspire and influence through visible dynamic leadership
Key Performance Indicators- Primary KPI: 50% year-on-year sales growth without margin erosion
- Sales pipeline value
- Quote conversion rate
- Average order value
- Customer retention and growth
About You- 5 years experience in a senior sales or commercial role
- Background in CNC precision engineering manufacturing or a technical environment
- Proven track record of profitable sales growth
- Highly professional with strong integrity
- Entrepreneurial proactive and commercially astute
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and competing priorities
- Confident communicator at customer and senior leadership level
