Minimum Qualifications
- A license to teach in Missouri or other state (early childhood education elementary education middle school subjects K-6 or K-8)
- Bachelors degree in education literacy language or a closely related field
- Previous teaching experience in K-8th grade schools/classrooms
- Previous professional experience coaching teachers using the Teach Like a Champion framework
- Demonstrated capability in providing support to classrooms facing challenges or at-risk situations
- Near native fluency in spoken and written English
Nice-to-Haves- Skills and qualities that are a plus but not a requirement
- Fluency in spoken and written French Mandarin or Spanish
Responsibilities
- Communicates and demonstrates researched-based instructional practices that result in increased student performance.
- Models lessons in classrooms as needed.
- Supports the instructional development of all teachers in understanding the curriculum and various assessments.
- Supports oversight of reading success plans across all grade levels.
- Provides support in analyzing student assessment data as needed.
- Assists teachers and special education staff in lesson planning delivery and reflection on instruction. Assist with designing instructional decisions based on assessment data and culturally responsive practices.
- Provide intensive 1:1 coaching to reset classroom culture.
- Observes and provides feedback to general and special education teachers as needed.
- Facilitates data meetings and professional learning communities for general and special education teaching staff.
- Supports state wide and school wide testing.
- Develops behavior intervention plans as needed.
- Encourage professional growth and provide organized individual and/or group learning opportunities for teachers.
- Supports other curriculum and instructional work as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position is competitive and rages from $50000 $90000. Your salary would be based on the number of years of experience you have in a similar role. SLLIS also offers the following:
