Join our Communications and Marketing Division as a Media and Communications Advisor and help shape the public voice of the Department.

The role

As a Media and Communications Advisor youll support the delivery of high-impact communications that inform engage and influence. From creating engaging content to crafting compelling media releases and managing media enquiries this role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile issues that matter to the people of NSW.

What youll do:

  • Create compelling content draft media releases talking points FAQs video and visual content EDMs web content and presentation materials.
  • Engage with the media monitor the news cycle unearth newsworthy stories and support proactive and reactive media relations.
  • Support strategic campaigns contribute to the planning and execution of integrated external communications campaigns spanning announcements PR experiential events activations and stakeholder briefings.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders work with internal teams to align messaging and ensure clear effective communications.
  • Track and measure impact report on media coverage campaign effectiveness and audience engagement.

What is an essential requirement:

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications media or journalism or other relevant discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience.
