Job Summary
Job Title: Financial Controller
Employment Type: Full-Time Independent Contractor Remote
Salary:1600-3500 USD/month
Working hours: M-F 9am-5pm PST
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Financial Controller to lead a small bookkeeping team and manage day-to-day finance operations. This role will enable the leadership team to focus on strategic initiatives while ensuring timely financial reporting tax compliance and operational accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage a 3-person bookkeeping team ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Maintain compliance with US healthcare financial regulations specifically the management fee model separating practice and management company finances.
Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
Review and improve internal financial processes for efficiency and compliance.
Collaborate with leadership to provide insights and recommendations on financial performance.
Ensure proper tax compliance and liaise with external auditors or advisors as needed.
Candidate Requirements:
Deep expertise in US healthcare finance including the management fee model.
Strong hands-on experience in finance operations and bookkeeping management.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and advanced Excel skills.
Highly detail-oriented proactive and willing to engage directly in operational tasks.
Strong communication skills and ability to manage and mentor a small team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with offshore teams or in a remote finance environment.
Previous exposure to US healthcare practices or management companies.
