Description

We are seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to join our highly skilled QTMP commercial team. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director/Deputy Project Director this integral role will see you leading the commercial and contractual management of a major portion of the QTMP project.
This role will suit someone with strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills as well as having a great commercial acumen. You will be accountable for:

Effective and timely management of upstream/downstream contracts and commercial activities
Liaison with a range of internal and external contacts
Optimising commercial outcomes across rollingstock projects
Acting as the commercial representative for allocated projects
Pro-active risk and opportunity management
Involvement with progress claims forecasting financial and project reporting

This is a fulltime permanent role ideally based onsite at our Brisbane CBD office with some travel and time spent on-site at Ormeau.

About You:

8 years demonstrated experience in contracts management
Previous experience in rollingstock construction engineering manufacturing or other relevant industry highly regarded
Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying Project Management Law Business Commerce or similar
Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence within a complex environment
Proven ability to problem solve and develop improvements
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) at all levels
