Job Duties and Responsibilities: Performs a wide range of facilities services tasks including non-technical maintenance of facilities and equipment at a level not requiring formal licensure. May be required to perform tasks of other unlicensed trades such as a light equipment operator carpenter mason and/or roofer. Monitors maintains and performs standard repairs to building facilities. Performs carpentry masonry welding maintenance tasks including routine sheetrock/drywall installation and/or repair window roof cabinet and countertop replacement door hardware installation masonry repairs and new installation of ceramic tile cinder block plaster concrete heavy equipment work as appropriate. Inspects buildings grounds and equipment to determine need for maintenance and repair and recommends most economical way to make changes and improvements to superior; issues work requests to appropriate authority. Maintains inventory; requisitions materials supplies and equipment and maintains control over storage and use; maintains and repairs equipment; confers with supervisor regarding budgeting and long-range planning; prepares all or part of preliminary budget reports.

Environment: Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements: i.e. extreme temp toxic chemicals biohazardous materials dirt dust fumes smoke loud noises other potentially dangerous materials/situations that require safety precaution/protective equip
Physical Effort: Considerable physical activity. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.
Lifting Requirements: Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting pushing or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
