Job Summary
Position Summary:
The IT Associate provides general technical support assistance to the Maharishi School under the supervision of school IT staff. This Federal Work-Study position is designed to offer students hands on learning opportunities in an educational IT environment while supporting the day-to-day technology needs of the school.

This role provides valuable hands-on experience in an educational IT environment. Students will develop technical problem-solving and communication skills gain exposure to real-world IT systems used in schools and learn how to work both independently and as part of a team all of which strengthen future career and academic opportunities.
Experience Gained / Advantages for Students:
This position supports Maharishi School by assisting with routine IT-related tasks helping ensure systems and devices are organized and functioning efficiently and allowing professional staff to focus on higher-level technical responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
The IT Associate will assist with the following duties under supervision:
- Respond to basic IT support requests and help route tickets as needed
- Assist with maintaining hardware and software inventory records
- Help set up troubleshoot and organize computer equipment and devices
- Assist with researching and documenting IT tools systems or procedures
- Support onboarding by helping orient new staff to basic IT systems and school technology procedures
Job Qualifications:
- Interest in information technology or related fields
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Dependable organized and able to work independently with guidance
(No prior professional IT experience required)

Rachel Cook is the Administrative Director at Maharishi School. She received a Bachelors Degree from MIU and received an Accounting Certificate from Portland State University. She has been working at Maharishi School for the past 8 years in various administration and finance positions
