Job Summary
Title: Due Diligence Quality Control Underwriter
Location: Remote (Mainland U.S. only; excluding CA NV and NY)
Status: Full-time W-2 (overtime eligible)
Pay: $45$48/hour (based on experience and meeting requirements)
Schedule: 40 hours/week; start between 79 AM local time; work a full 8 hours
Start: Target 02/16/2026
Benefits: Medical Dental Vision 401(k) PTO after 90 days (24 weeks average)

About the role
In this role you will QC loans underwritten by Due Diligence Secondary Market Underwriters. Your focus is to confirm that underwriting decisions are accurate compliant and aligned with investor and regulatory guidelines. This role requires strong credit and compliance review skills with a heavy emphasis on TRID and hands-on LauraMac Experience is required. TPR firm experience is required.
What you will do
Perform comprehensive QC reviews of loans underwritten by due diligence underwriters.
Validate credit compliance collateral and data integrity across the full loan file.
Identify and document discrepancies errors and missing documentation.
Confirm adherence to regulatory agencies investor requirements and internal guidelines.
Provide clear feedback to underwriters and escalate critical issues as needed.
Partner with audit and compliance teams to support continuous improvement.
What we are looking for
Minimum 5 years of mortgage experience in Secondary Market due diligence underwriting position.
Minimum 2 years of mortgage experience in due diligence QC.
Strong knowledge of agency guidelines (Fannie Mae Freddie Mac) FHA/VA and non-QM products.
Strong knowledge of compliance with an emphasis in TRID.
Laura Mac experience- Hands on
Encompass experience- Hands on
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Resume must clearly state all of the above as well as experience in all responsibilities listed for the job
