Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Instruction the Curriculum and Accreditation Officer supports the development of a systematic comprehensive and integrated accreditation process that complies with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges ( SACSCOC ) requirements. This position is responsible for successfully assisting the Vice President of Instruction in leading the college in all coordination of institutional and programmatic accreditation activities. Also communicates findings and recommendations for action in a clear and timely manner to facilitate continuous informed decision-making throughout the college. Additionally the Curriculum and Accreditation Officer assists the Vice President of Instruction and Divisional Deans with curriculum development and class schedules to implement an effective process of checks and balances.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Assists the Vice President of Instruction in the planning development coordination and implementation of institutional and programmatic accreditation activities across the institution. Continually monitors progress toward identified goals and objectives to support continual accreditation of the institution. Collects compiles and analyzes data related to faculty qualifications curriculum standards enrollment and other academic activities for the purposes of accreditation self-studies college-level decision-making and other related activities. Serves as a point-of-contact for internal and external constituencies as it relates to the institutions data; assist the Vice President of Instruction with accrediting bodies and compiles reports and information for dissemination to administrators and core offices. Develops implements and evaluates methods for collecting and analyzing data; collaborates with technical personnel and/or directly manages technical platforms for collecting maintaining and reporting data. Provides technical and professional guidance consultation and support to faculty staff administrators and other related personnel as it pertains to the institutions progress toward accreditation collection of data and other related activities. Interprets assessment findings; analyzes and compiles comprehensive statistical and narrative data; assists with the preparation of official assessment reports to summarize findings. Plans develops and implements various special projects as assigned; plans coordinates promotes and facilitates special events programs and/or activities. Reviews and ensures accurate completion and timely submission of governmental and other reports as required with respect to assigned areas of responsibilities. Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology equipment and/or systems. Coordinates workshops seminars and other activities for faculty and staff on curriculum and accreditation. An understanding of and strong commitment to the mission of Texas Southmost College. Supports the values and institutional goals as defined in the Colleges Strategic Plan. Completes duties and responsibilities in compliance with college standards policies and guidelines. Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored by Texas Southmost College. Uses interpersonal skills and makes sound judgments to decide how duties and responsibilities are completed between coworkers the supervisory chain faculty staff students and customers. Promotes positive morale and teamwork within the functional unit and provides exceptional customer service to students faculty and community. Attends the workplace regularly reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite. Working hours may include evenings holidays or weekends depending on deadline requirements and special events. Performs other duties as assigned.
