Primary Objective:
Under the general direction of the Stores Manager the chosen candidate will be responsible for maintaining control over the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) inventory including materials and parts in response to GSE material requests.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Receiving & Inspection
Receive inspect and verify all incoming GSE materials against purchase orders for accuracy quantity and condition.
Identify and document discrepancies including shortages damage and non-conforming materials.
Validate supplier documentation including packing slips certifications and traceability records.
Process receiving transactions accurately in SAP S/4 HANA.
Documentation & Coordination
Maintain accurate receiving records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Coordinate with purchasing to resolve invoice discrepancies and supplier performance issues.
Communicate material arrival status to GSE technical teams for work order planning.
Support handoff of received materials to stockroom personnel maintaining proper segregation of duties.
Materials Handling
Deliver and pickup materials/parts to support GSE operations.
Ensure proper labeling staging and handling of received materials including hazardous goods.
Maintain receiving area in accordance with 5S standards and safety requirements.
Support cycle counting and receiving accuracy verification activities.
Administrative Support
Provide receiving-related administrative support to the GSE team.
Recommend process improvements to enhance receiving efficiency and accuracy.
Maintain organized filing systems for receiving documentation.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 12 years of experience in receiving warehouse operations or supply chain functions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word; experience with SAP S/4HANA or other inventory management systems preferred
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders packing slips and technical documentation
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational communication and multitasking skills; self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling procedures
- Familiarity with aviation or cargo airline operations is considered an asset but not required
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
