Job Summary

At the NSW Department of Education we educate and inspire lifelong learners from early childhood through schooling to vocational education and training.

  • Ongoing Full-Time employment
  • Located in Lismore with flexible working arrangements requiring three days office attendance per week
  • Salary ranges from $75728 to $82239 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

The Customer Service Officer assists with the provision of general information on apprenticeships traineeships and vocational education and training programs and services to customers and members of the public and provides clerical and administrative support to the Regional Centre

Key accountabilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the Regional Centre including email services and office coordination
  • Manage efiling storage and archiving of records in line with departmental requirements
  • Liaise with staff to support customer enquiries and assist with issue resolution
  • Deliver accurate word processing data entry and spreadsheet support
  • Process invoices claims and assist with reports in line with financial and operational requirements

About you

Essential requirements of the role

  • Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
  • Previous experience in an office or administrative environment (desirable)
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
