Leidos Defense Systems Manufacturing Segmentis seeking aManufacturingTestEngineerforSecond Shift(Hours 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm includes a30 minutelunch)andWeekend (Friday through Sunday)to join our National Space Systems Integration & Test teamlocatedin HuntsvilleAL.As aManufacturingTestEngineeryouwillparticipatein leading in the planning/execution ofelectricaltestoperations and willbe responsible fordeveloping automated test scripts procedures and other documentation needed to conduct spaceflighthardwaretesting at the factory. This position will require frequent coordination withPlanning & Production ControlEngineersandOperations Leadsto ensure thattestingwilloccur as planned.

As aManufacturingTestEngineeryouwill beoverseeing andoptimizingthe production process from raw materials to finished products to ensure efficiency and quality. The type of material is expected to be electronic electro-mechanical and mechanical. This position will require frequent coordination withPlanning & Production ControlEngineersandOperations Leadsto ensure that material will be available when needed and that proper documentation is in place forfloor operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • ManagingTestingto meet project schedules.

  • Use of MES software(Solumina)for executingtest plans for development qualification and acceptance phases of hardware projects.

  • Generate/Modifytestroutings insideSolumina

  • Identifyand execute on continuous improvement projects.

  • Identifyand reduce risks in the productiontestingprocesses.

  • Responsible for executing Configuration & Data Management processes & controls for managing&tracking changes.

  • Defines manufacturing processesproceduresand production flow fortestof space products.

  • Resolve problems related to production jobs such as configuration changes engineering changes material issues schedule priority etc.

  • Collaborate withEngineeringQuality AssuranceOperations Leads and Inventory Control.

  • Completing requirements verification and validation documentation and reports.

  • Debugging software and/or hardware with various tools.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A bachelors degreeinElectrical Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and0 years prior relevant experience.

  • Must be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Basic experience withManufacturing Assembly & Integrationand Testexperience with ElectricalElectromechanicaland/or Mechanical components.

  • Ability to work second shift hours of operation are 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm includes a30 minutelunch.

  • Ability to work weekend shift Friday through Sunday.

  • Training will occur on 1stshift so must have ability to work 1stshift for a few weeks while training occurs prior to moving to 2ndshiftor Weekend shift.

  • Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing torelocateto the Huntsville - North Alabama AL area.

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen andpossess(and be able tomaintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (andmaintain) a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with test operations including set-up calibration&operation ofGSEused in the production process.

  • Experience with test execution.

  • Hands-on experience with electronics assembly processes and equipment including some of these: soldering mechanical assembly epoxy dispensing and curing conformal coating thermal interface material dispense/application Automated Optical Inspection component/assembly test etc.

  • Experience working inside a clean room.

  • DeltekCostpoint ERP & MRPSolumina Windchill

  • Working knowledge and operation of electronic test equipment (e.g.oscilloscope voltmeter signal analyzer/generator)

  • Working knowledge of software languagessuch asPython

  • Experience with LinuxGIT and Arduino devices
