We are seeking a friendly organised and professional School Receptionist to join a busy and welcoming primary school in Bexley starting as soon as possible. This is a vital role in providing an efficient and welcoming front-of-house service to pupils parents staff and visitors.
The school has a strong ethos of inclusion high expectations and pupil wellbeing. Reception staff are the first point of contact for everyone entering the school and play an essential role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and effective communication. Senior leadership supports staff with guidance training and opportunities for professional development.
As a School Receptionist you will manage the schools front office greeting visitors handling calls and emails and assisting with administrative tasks. Your role will be key to maintaining a positive organised and welcoming school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for parents carers staff and visitors
Answer telephone calls emails and other correspondence professionally
Manage the schools signing-in procedures for visitors staff and pupils
Maintain accurate records and databases
Assist with general administrative tasks including filing photocopying and scheduling
Support school events meetings and communications
Maintain office supplies and ensure smooth office operations
Ensure confidentiality data protection and safeguarding procedures are followed at all times

Have experience in a receptionist or administrative role ideally in a school setting
Be organised approachable and professional
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be confident using Microsoft Office and school management systems

Be able to work independently and as part of a team
