Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to join a well-established independent school in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity for a Chemistry specialist who enjoys teaching motivated pupils in a calm academic environment with high expectations and strong support.
The school places a strong emphasis on subject knowledge practical work and academic progression with Chemistry playing a key role within the Science curriculum.
The Role
Teaching Chemistry across KS3 and KS4 with the opportunity to teach KS5 depending on experience
Planning and delivering clear well-structured lessons that promote deep understanding
Delivering practical chemistry lessons with a strong focus on safety and accuracy
Supporting pupils with examination preparation and academic extension
Assessing pupil progress and providing clear constructive feedback
Contributing positively to the wider life of the Science department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject
Experience teaching Chemistry at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice
High expectations for pupil engagement behaviour and outcomes
A professional organised and collaborative approach
