Assignment Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Overnight 12:00 AM 8:00 AM
Pay Rate: $51$61 per hour

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join an acute care hospital team in Elmhurst NY. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating MRI equipment in a hospital setting a strong understanding of imaging protocols and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. This role includes structured onboarding and training as well as experience working with EPIC for patient documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Perform MRI scans using hospital imaging equipment in accordance with established protocols
Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures ensuring safety comfort and clear communication
Operate and maintain MRI equipment while adhering to safety quality and infection control standards
Collaborate with radiologists physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to obtain optimal imaging results
Accurately document procedures and patient information in compliance with hospital and regulatory requirements
Support acute care imaging needs and adapt to high-acuity patient environments
Participate in required training including a 2-week onboarding program (9:00 AM 5:00 PM) covering EPIC and equipment protocols

Qualifications

Education:

Associates degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Licenses & Certifications:

NYSDOH Radiologic Technologist License (required)
MRI certification through ARRT (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) or ARMRIT (required)
BLS certification (American Heart Association) preferred

Experience & Skills:

Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience in an acute care or hospital setting
Familiarity with hospital MRI equipment and imaging protocols
Strong patient care communication and technical skills
Ability to work independently during overnight shifts in a fast-paced clinical environment
