Finance Assistant Hillingdon
Salary:
A large and well-established education setting in Hillingdon is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join its finance team with a clear pathway for progression into a senior finance leadership role over time.
This role is ideal for an ambitious and capable finance professional looking to embed themselves within an organisation long-term develop strategic financial skills and progress towards a Director of Finance position within approximately five years.
The Role:
Support the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation
Process invoices purchase orders and expense claims accurately and efficiently
Maintain and reconcile financial records across multiple cost centres
Assist with budget monitoring forecasting and reporting
Support audits and compliance with internal and external financial regulations
Work closely with senior leaders to develop a strong understanding of financial strategy
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (education or public sector desirable but not essential)
Strong understanding of financial processes and controls
High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
Confident user of Microsoft Excel and finance systems
Ambitious proactive and keen to progress into a senior finance leadership role
Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team

Salary: dependent on experience
Contract Type: Full-time permanent
Start Date: ASAP (or negotiable for the right candidate)
