Python Developer with Banking and API Integration Expertise

Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our technology team within the banking sector. The role involves designing developing and optimizing software applications that support critical banking operations. The candidate will contribute to creating scalable secure and compliant solutions ensuring operational efficiency and supporting the organizations strategic objectives. This position plays a pivotal role in maintaining robust banking systems that adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Software Requirements

• Required:

  • Python (latest stable version experience with Django Flask FastAPI)

  • SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL MySQL Oracle MongoDB etc.)

  • API development (REST SOAP)

  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitHub Actions Bitbucket)

  • Version control systems (GitHub Bitbucket)

• Preferred:

  • Cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP)

  • Containerization tools (Docker Kubernetes)

  • Automated testing tools and frameworks

Overall Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain Python-based applications to support banking workflows.

• Implement secure efficient and scalable code following industry best practices.

• Manage large datasets and develop APIs for system integration and third-party service connections.

• Build automation scripts for reporting reconciliation and compliance activities to improve operational efficiency.

• Ensure applications meet security standards related to encryption authentication and data privacy.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts QA and DevOps to deliver solutions and resolve production issues.

• Support performance tuning and provide technical guidance for production environments.

• Programming Languages:

  • Required: Python (Django Flask FastAPI)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in Python development roles preferably within the banking or financial services domain.

• Experience with API development and system integration.

• Exposure to DevOps practices and cloud deployments is advantageous.

• Alternative pathways: Candidates with equivalent experience in financial technology or related fields may be considered.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop and enhance banking applications and automation scripts.

• Participate in daily stand-ups sprint planning and code reviews.

• Attend collaboration meetings with business teams QA and DevOps.

• Manage and prioritize feature development bug fixes and system maintenance tasks.

• Monitor application performance and implement improvements as needed.

• Contribute to documentation code standards and compliance procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or an equivalent technical field.

• Professional certifications in Python cloud computing or security (e.g. AWS Certified Developer Certified Secure Programmer) are preferred.

• Participation in ongoing training and professional development is encouraged to stay current with emerging technologies and standards.
