Java Developer with Leadership, Spring, Hibernate, and Cloud Expertise

Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer to oversee the design development and implementation of robust Java-based solutions. This role is integral to delivering high-quality reliable software that meets client requirements and organizational standards. The Lead Java Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams mentor junior developers and ensure that solutions adhere to best practices in architecture security and performance supporting Synechrons strategic objectives in innovative and efficient technology delivery.

Software Requirements

• Required:

  • Java (latest stable version) including Java EE platform

  • Frameworks: Spring Hibernate Web Services (REST/SOAP)

  • Development environments: Eclipse IntelliJ IDEA NetBeans

  • Databases: Oracle MySQL or equivalent SQL databases

• Preferred:

  • Version control: Git SVN

  • Build tools: Maven Gradle

  • Cloud and deployment: AWS Azure GCP

  • Microservices and containerization: Docker Kubernetes

Overall Responsibilities

• Lead the design development and deployment of scalable Java solutions aligned with client and business needs.

• Maintain high standards of code quality security and performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts QA and DevOps to formulate technical strategies and resolve issues efficiently.

• Review code and provide guidance on architecture coding best practices and performance enhancements.

• Mentor and develop junior team members fostering growth and technical excellence.

• Stay current with emerging Java technologies and industry trends integrating applicable innovations into projects.

• Contribute to defining technical standards and improving development processes and methodologies.

• Programming Languages:

  • Required: Java (Java 8)

  • Preferred: Additional languages such as Kotlin or Scala for specific projects

• Databases/Data Management:

  • Required: Oracle MySQL; experience with SQL query optimization

  • Preferred: NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra

• Cloud Technologies:

  • Preferred: Cloud platform experience with AWS Azure or GCP for deployment and scaling

• Frameworks and Libraries:

  • Required: Spring (Core Boot MVC) Hibernate Web Services (REST/SOAP)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of professional Java development experience in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven leadership experience overseeing software development teams and managing project deliverables.

• Demonstrated success delivering scalable multi-tier Java applications ideally in enterprise or financial domains.

• Experience designing RESTful APIs and integrating with back-end systems.

• Strong understanding of software architecture design patterns and best practices.

• Experience with containerization and cloud deployment is preferred.

• Alternative experience: Extensive development success in related roles with demonstrated leadership and technical proficiency.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Architect and lead the development of Java solutions for complex client requirements.

• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

• Collaborate closely with product managers architects QA and DevOps teams to coordinate development efforts.

• Analyze technical issues provide timely resolutions and optimize system performance.

• Mentor junior developers support their technical growth and facilitate knowledge sharing.

• Review system architecture and contribute to establishing technical standards.

• Stay informed on the latest Java frameworks tools and industry trends recommending improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.

• Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM) preferred.

• Proven experience in leading Java development projects and teams.
