Job Summary

Elk Island Public Schools is recruiting a Summer School- Physical Education Lead Facilitator/Teacher
Open to:Internal and external candidates who are qualifiedteachers
The duration of summer school is July 6 to July 30 2026. Classes are offeredSession 1: July 6 - 17 from8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Session 2: July 20 -30 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 teacher will be compensated for 95 hours of instruction(47.5 hours per Session) and 30 hours of preparation at a rate of $63.00per hour. These courses may be separate courses or combined course offerings depending on enrollment.
Candidates must have previous or related experience teaching this course.
- Scheduling classes for PE activities to meet curricular outcomes.
- Strong field trip organization skills.
- Site supervisor.
- Coordination with the Senior Administrative Assistant for expenditures.
- Collaboration with CALM Lead Facilitator.
- Knowledge of CTS courses.
Classes will be held in person. Location to be determined.
This position is conditional on sufficient student registrations.
The successful candidate(s) must have or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate.
