About the Team & the Position

The Digital Division enables the delivery of AEMOs obligations through technology and improves outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders. Digital provides services to internal AEMO business units employees contractors subsidiaries such as AEMO Services external government bodies and market participants.

The Energy Markets and Corporate Digital Systems (EMCDS)Team will deliver new development ongoing maintenance and operational support for AMEO managed energy markets across the National Electricity Market (NEM) Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) and Gas markets including the associated retail systems.

Provision of administration support to the Digital Leadership Team primarily Melbourne located Group Managers and EGM Digital Office to enable key stakeholders to focus on critical elements of their roles / leadership within their teams. This role will work closely with the Executive Assistant to the EGM Digital for direction Team Assistant Digital (peer) and the Digital Leadership team for admin assistance.

Position Responsibilities

Digital Leadership Team support:

Primarily supporting the Group Managers located in the Melbourne office; assist the Digital Leadership team with various administrative tasks which include (but are not limited to):

  • Assistance with travel bookings for team members that are not set up on the corporate travel booking system
  • Assistance with coordination of meetings with external stakeholders
  • Assistance with coordination of Digital departmental leadership team offsite events
  • Expense reconciliation
  • The role has standard operating procedures and requirements to follow. More complex issues will need to be directed to the Manager as required.
  • Covering EA and / or Team Assistant colleague where required i.e. leave coverage

Assistance to EA to EGM Digital where required. This may include:

  • Assist with coordination of meetings
  • Assist with coordination of events
  • Preparing and documenting Meeting Agendas Minutes and Actions
  • Expense/invoice reconciliation
  • Electronic filing of correspondence in relation to EGM Digital and DLT
  • Any other ad hoc administrative duties required for the smooth running of the EGM Digital Office

Position Requirements

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in similar administration role within a corporate environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well- developed organisational planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Integrity commercial judgement and high degree of discretion.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications including Teams Word Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritise work and work well within a team environment.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous development

Education/ professional Certifications:

  • Year 12 or equivalent to Cert III.
  • Undergraduate certification in a business discipline desirable.
  • Relevant background / security checks & clearance as required.
