We offer a stateoftheart R&D environment with the resources of a global organization and the supportive handson mentorship of a closeknit team. Youll contribute to the development implementation testing and quality assurance of industryleading imaging and videoprocessing technologies including Dolby Vision.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with QA Leads and Senior Engineers on software testing and experimental setups for the Dolby Vision device SDK for a range of home entertainment devices (TVs STBs AVRs).
Design and execute test cases for advanced imaging algorithms and videoprocessing technologies.
Evaluate new features for reliability and accuracy providing clear documentation and feedback.
Support and improve test automation environments including hardware setups and software frameworks.
Partner with technical writers and engineering teams to ensure the accuracy of technical data and test documentation.
Contribute to optimizing engineering workflows using source control CI/CD and custom tooling.
Explore and apply AI/LLMassisted methods to enhance log analysis test design and other QA activities.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or a related field with interest in imaging video or signal processing.
Ability to learn new technical concepts effectively and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Academic projects coursework or prior experience related to imaging video systems or digital signal processing are beneficial.
Proficiency in Python; familiarity with automation testing frameworks (e.g. Pytest unittest) is helpful.
Understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems and basic troubleshooting skills.
Experience with TV operating systems (Google TV Fire OS WebOS VIDDA OS) is a plus.
Knowledge of video codecs (H.264/AVC H.265/HEVC AV1) and streaming protocols (HLS MPEGDASH) is valuable.
Familiarity with AI coding assistants or LLMbased engineering workflows is a plus.

Eligibility:
Working towards a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or a related field; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday Friday for 3 months between May/June 2026 August/September 2026.

The San Francisco/Bay Area base hourly range for this internship position is $50-55/hrand can vary if outside of this location. Our hourly ranges are determined by role level and location. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills experience and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific hourly range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
