About the Opportunity
Northeastern University School of Law seeks a Social Worker to join the Domestic Violence Institute. The successful candidate will be appointed as a Part-Time Social Domestic Violence Institute (DVI) is a part of Northeastern Law Schools clinical legal education program and includes the Domestic Violence Clinic (DVC) which operates during the law schools Fall and Spring Semesters. The DVI provides critical legal representation to eligible child and adult survivors of domestic violence in family and immigration matters engages in advocacy initiatives and conducts community education and training.

Required Qualifications:
Masters in Social Work
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
Three years of relevant experience; two or more years of working with survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) immigrants and/or people experiencing poverty homelessness and/or mental illness
Valid drivers license
Fluency in English and Spanish
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Under the supervision of the Director works directly with the DVIs clients students and partner organizations in conducting community education and outreach.
At the Directors discretion supervises clinic law students and social work students; and providing limited classroom instruction.
In collaboration with the Director assists with development of clinic projects and client matters including consultations; providing referrals; attending meetings and collaborating with internal and external partners; and supporting special projects.
Facilitates ongoing DVI administration including developing and maintaining relevant client files; documenting client matters; and reporting for gift objectives.
Supervision:
Supervise Masters in Social Work student(s) completing practicum with the DVI and law school students in the limited capacity of social work issues.
