Overview

IQVIAsPre-Commercialteam is focused on supporting emerging pharmaceutical companies as they prepare to bring new therapies to market. This groupincorporates keyIQVIA capabilitiesto supportacross core areas of our clients businesses.

We are currently seeking a SeniorDirector of Business Developmentto join our growing t this roleyoulloversee key account relationships while driving growth for this segment by developing account strategies expanding new business relationships leading complex negotiations and coordinating IQVIA resources to deliver holistic solutions aligned to each clients needs.

  • The Sr. Director will be primarily responsible for overseeingboth accountmanagement andnewbusiness development responsibilities for the Precommercial Segment.
  • Promotesrecommendsand sells solutions products and services to other individuals and organizations. This includes developing managing and implementing sales strategiesidentifyingpotential customers and cultivating existing customer relationships to close deals.
  • Works with an integrated GTM team to develop and implement the specific client strategy and bring them a holistic solution that addresses their business challenges.
  • Develops relationships with key decision makers and executives within assigned accounts

PrimaryResponsibilities

  • Directs the activities of a sales team to achieve/exceed the assigned revenue and growth goals in the sales territory.

  • Takesproactiverole in contract strategy. Develops strategy for expandingscopeof existing contracts andidentifyingnew business opportunities.

  • As requiredmaylead negotiationsinmulti-year and multi-service contract(s) within assigned accounts.

  • Develops relationships with key executives and decision makers within assigned accounts.

  • Manages the overall relationship to ensurea high levelof customer satisfaction.

  • Provides leadership to the sales team and coordinates the involvement of IQVIA resources (marketing consulting client services) in actively promoting the full IQVIA portfolio of products and consulting services toanticipateand meet client needs.

  • Develops and executes account plan(s) andmonitorsprogress.

  • Adjusts plan accordingly to consider IQVIA new product/service offerings as well as significant changes to business conditions. Managing direct reports activities and selling efforts

  • Participating inaccountand large play strategy planning efforts

  • Engaging clients to driveopportunitydevelopment and close.

  • Additionally this roleis responsible forproviding weekly forecast call input and activity reviews.

KeyQualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum 10 years relevant sales or account management experiencewithin the life sciences industry.

  • Experience selling consulting data and/or analytics solutions with pharmaceutical clients is highly preferred.

  • Requires broad management knowledge to lead teams and well as the ability toinfluencesothers outside ofownjob arearegardingpolicies procedures and goals.

  • Marketing experience leading brands within small or emerging pharma preferable

  • Knowledge of IQVIA offerings customer accountmanagementand pharmaceutical industry.

  • Problem solving negotiation planning relationship building presentation and written and oral communication skills are essential.

  • Ability to set vision and direction.

  • Ability to influence outcomes.

  • Team-orientation.

The potential base pay range for this role when annualized is $125300.00 - $349000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge skills education and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered incentive plans bonuses and/or other forms of compensation may be offered in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
