Job Summary
The Elizabeth Courtauld Surgery has an exciting opportunity for a healthcare assistant to join our diverse and multi-skilled professional team to provide high quality person-centred holistic nursing care to patients.
This post is available for 37.5 hours per week over five days (weekdays only).Part-time applications will be considered for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will join a practice that takes pride in its can do attitude and forward-thinking. You will work within what can be a busy often demanding but highly rewarding environment with an experienced and welcoming team.
Duties will include:
- Wound care
- Vaccinations (seasonal flu and pneumovax)
- Injections in line with PSD and practice guidelines
- ECGs/BPs
- Phlebotomy
- Health monitoring and management
- NHS health checks
- Assisting with minor surgery clinics
- Experience with chronic disease management (qualified or willingness to undertake training).
Salary depends on qualifications/chronic disease management experience.

About the Candidate
- Successful completion of the Care Certificate or willingness to undertake as indicated by the CQC.
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Experience of working within a GP practice.
- Strong clinical skills as listed above.
- Excellent patient-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
