Job Summary

Role Overview:
The Data Archival Developer is responsible for designing implementing and maintaining data archival solutions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FDA EMA HIPAA SOX) and organizational data retention policies. This role focuses on secure efficient and compliant archival of structured and unstructured data across enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop data archival strategies for applications databases and file systems in alignment with data retention policies.
Implement archival solutions ensuring data integrity security and audit readiness.
Develop scripts and automation for data extraction transformation and migration to archival storage.
Ensure compliance with GxP HIPAA 21 CFR Part 11 and other applicable regulations.
Collaborate with DBAs application teams and compliance teams to define archival requirements.
Optimize archival processes for performance scalability and cost efficiency.
Maintain documentation including Archival Design Documents SOPs and Validation Reports.
Support data retrieval requests and ensure timely restoration of archived data when required.
Participate in system validation (CSV) and periodic reviews of archival solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
3 6 years of experience in data management archival solutions or database development.
Strong knowledge of SQL ETL tools and scripting languages (Python Shell).
Familiarity with data retention regulations GxP compliance and data integrity principles.
Experience with cloud storage solutions (AWS S3 Azure Blob GCP) and on-prem archival systems.
Understanding of encryption standards RBAC and secure data handling.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with pharma/life sciences data archival (clinical manufacturing QC systems).
Knowledge of data lifecycle management tools and ILM frameworks.
Certifications in Data Governance Cloud Platforms or CSV are a plus.
