This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) a student loan payment reimbursement program. OUTPATIENT/GENERAL MENTAL HEALTH (GMH) This position would be a part of a clinical team with duties divided between program development patient care and educational programing including collaboration our nationally recognized inter-professional education program. Our GMH team is focused on team- based evidence- driven care and we are at the forefront of using outcome measures to ensure the best care for our Veterans. Educational and research opportunities are available for qualified applicants. If the physician has appropriate qualifications they can receive a faculty appointment in the University of Wisconsin Department of Psychiatry.
ADDICTIONS The Madison VA uses an interdisciplinary team model of addictions treatment and the Psychiatrists in this position would be a core member of this treatment team. The Psychiatrist would have the opportunity to serve Veterans in an Outpatient Mental Health and Addictions Treatment Clinic and would also have the opportunity to teach and be involved in research if desired. This is a great opportunity for a physician looking to be at the forefront of evidence-based interdisciplinary and Veteran-centered addictions treatment.

Basic Requirements:
