McLaren Medical Group - Greater Lansing seeks a Locum Emergency Medicine physician
McLaren is creating a Float Pool of providers for their open PRN shifts - open dates will be sent out via email once a provider is accepted

JOB DETAILS:
Reason for Locum Coverage: Recruitment Gap
Patients per day: 110
Staff Support: full nursing 12 hours of APP coverage daily
Current EHR in use: Cerner
Number of beds: 42
70% of total admis received from ED
22% of ED patients admitted to the hospital per day
< 1% of ED patients transferred per day
Trauma Level: 3
Annual ER Volume: 40000
Fast track in ED - Yes staffed by APP
15% of total ED volume treated by Fast Track
Locum will be required to supervise other health care providers: APP and residents
ED staff does not respond to house codes
Hospitalist writes admission orders

Procedures/Skills Required:

Family Medicine Procedures/Skills: Adult Outpatient Pediatric-General Outpatient Newborn resuscitation Orthopedic-Non-displaced fractures Suturing of minor lacerations Incision & Drainage Psychiatric-Uncomplicated adult Psychiatric-Uncomplicated child/adolescent Psychiatric-Uncomplicated geriatric Diagnosis & management of common industrial-related medical problems Ventilation management-establishing & maintaining an airway; various modes of ventilation for up to 24 hrs w/o pulmonary consultation Evaluation & management of acute volume/BP issues Central Line Arterial Line EKG Interpretation Arthrocentesis Lumbar puncture Paracentesis EM related procedures

Expenses:
Expenses covered by client will not exceed the limitations listed in the Travel & Expense policy between McLaren Health Care & AHSA.
Does NOT reimburse Med Staff Fees
No lodging booked through 3rd party websites ie expedia kayak etc
McLaren is tax exempt and will not reimburse taxes on lodging
Malpractice must be included in rates
Orientation rate is 1/2 the hourly rate

Rates to Submit:
Orientation - 1/2 of hourly rate for orientation and training
Hourly - $400/hour
Holiday - 1.5x
OT - 1.5x
Conversion Fee

Site uses reverse billing - provider must clock in/out using DocTime - no timesheets will be approved

Requirement description : ALL MUST BE NOTATED AT TIME OF NAME CLEAR
Board Certified must be ABEM or AOBEM - REQUIRED willing to review Truly BE providers
ED experience - HIGHLY PREFFERED
MI License - REQUIRED at time of clear no exceptions - not accepting IMLC
BLS - REQUIRED
Provider must be local - REQUIRED no exceptions
Must have clean background for quick credentialing - REQUIRED no exceptions
Please submit rates at time of name clear- rate cap $400/hour - REQUIRED will not send to client without rates
Please provide desired shift from list above - REQUIRED
Copy of the NPDB self-query requires at presentation (Should be pulled within 30 days) - REQUIRED
