Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Analyst specializing in Test Automation to join our QA team. The successful candidate will develop execute and maintain automated test scripts to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role involves collaborating closely with development and QA teams integrating automation into agile workflows and continuously enhancing testing practices with a focus on efficiency accuracy and repeatability to support the organizations strategic goals.
Software Requirements
Required:
Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver (latest stable version) and TestNG framework
Experience with build automation tools: Maven and Jenkins
Issue and project management tools: JIRA
Knowledge of API testing tools and methodologies such as Postman or RestAssured
Experience with database testing using SQL (MySQL Oracle etc.)
Preferred:
Experience with other automation tools like UFT or Cucumber
Knowledge of version control systems like Git
Familiarity with continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines and related cloud platforms
Overall Responsibilities
Design develop and execute automation scripts for functional regression and integration testing of applications.
Maintain and update automation frameworks ensuring test scripts are reusable and scalable.
Collaborate with developers and QA analysts to identify test scenarios and improve test coverage.
Troubleshoot and debug automation scripts to resolve failures and improve stability.
Perform comprehensive manual and automated testing especially for high-impact areas.
Support release activities by providing timely feedback on software quality.
Continuously enhance automation processes by adopting new tools techniques and best practices.
Participate actively in agile ceremonies providing insights and feedback to improve sprint outcomes.

Programming Languages:
Required: Java (Test automation scripts)
Preferred: JavaScript Python for additional automation or API testing
Databases/Data Management:
Required: SQL expertise for database validation and data integrity testing
Cloud Technologies:
Preferred: Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments or CI/CD pipelines (e.g. AWS Azure)
Frameworks and Libraries:
Required: Selenium WebDriver TestNG
Preferred: Cucumber RestAssured JUnit
Development Tools and Methodologies:
Required: Maven Jenkins Git
Agile and Scrum practices for rapid delivery and continuous improvement
Security and Data Privacy:
Understanding of best practices in testing security features or sensitive data handling when applicable.
Experience Requirements
3 to 5 years of experience in automation testing with a focus on Selenium and Java.
Proven track record developing test automation frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD processes.
Experience with API testing and database validation.
Prior experience in a fast-paced agile environment delivering high-quality solutions within deadlines.
Experience within finance banking or trading domain preferred but not mandatory.
Candidates with extensive manual testing background and demonstrated automation skills are encouraged to apply.

Develop maintain and execute automated test cases for various applications and modules.
Troubleshoot and resolve automation failures and bugs efficiently.
Collaborate with developers and QA team members on test strategy and coverage improvements.
Review and analyze test results documenting defects with detailed steps for reproduction.
Participate actively in daily stand-ups sprint planning and retrospectives.
Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to improve testing processes and scripts.
Stay current on industry best practices emerging testing tools and automation techniques.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field.
Certifications such as ISTQB Certified Automation Tester or similar are advantageous.
Proven experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks using Selenium and Java.
Continuous learning mindset regarding new testing tools and industry standards.
