TEACHER LONG TERM OCCASIONAL (LTO)

0.8 FTE (Monday Thursday)

Family Studies

Effective immediately until approx. February 13 2026

but no t to extend beyond June 26 2026

Mandatory Requirements:

• Basic qualifications to teach in the Intermediate Division

Preferred Requirements:

• Additional qualification in technological studies in sewing and dressmaking food and nutrition or home economics or currently enrolled in such a course
• Able to plan for and work with a large variety of intermediate students including students with special needs
• Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom Google Meet as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents
• Knowledge of Grade 7 and 8 curriculum in Healthy Living
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage the program budget and classroom materials
• Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
• Commitment to being an active participant in the schools professional learning team to promote student achievement
• Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties
• Knowledge of and familiarity with the school environment would be an asset
