Position: Mechanic II
FLSA: Hourly non-exempt
Full Time: 40 hour per week
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- More than two years experience or professional training.
- Must use initiative and judgment in performing job and has responsibility for some equipment tools etc.
- Interacts daily with fellow workers.
- Has or is able to obtain Arizona bus driver certification.
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
REPORTS TO: Transportation Supervisor
JOB GOAL: To provide skilled support services to ensure the safe and efficient operation of school district vehicles.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Repair and maintains vehicles.
- Maintain vehicle repair and maintenance records.
- Maintain tools parts and equipment inventory.
- Perform emergency road repairs.
- Keep work area clean and orderly.
- Notify the supervisor of all unusual problems and concerns affecting transportation
- Participate in various training sessions to upgrade related skills.
- Serve as substitute bus driver as needed.
- Perform other related duties assigned.
