Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): To conduct natural resource
management operations of the Natural Lands under guidance from Natural Lands professional
staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Remove invasive species * Collect seeds * Work outside for extended periods
* Learn technical natural resource management skills * Remove brush
* Participate in prescribed fire * Apply ecological theory to land management
* Identify plants * Plant and water trees as needed * Maintain trails
* Conduct research methods for long-term ecological management and study

Dependable and punctual

Strong interest in natural resource management
Ability to problem solve

Physical and Environmental Factors:

This position requires crouching kneeling/crawling stooping twisting/pivoting climbing/balancing reaching overhead grasping/handling pushing/pulling lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. driving operating hand tools and operating equipment and machinery to perform the essential functions. It also requires exposure to loud noise chemicals vibrations extreme cold and proximity hazards as well as rare exposure to respiratory factors wet or humid conditions indoors extreme heat and heights or cramped quarters to perform the essential functions. Protective equipment is required to perform some essential functions. Candidates must be able to complete the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
