NEARI School seeks a paraprofessional to work as a 1:1 in our Elementary school program. NEARI is a twelve month day school for students aged 7-22 with learning disabilities emotional and behavioral challenges neurological deficits trauma and other mental health disorders. NEARI was founded in 1985 and since that time has been engaged in cutting-edge work with its students. Our school is a creative and dynamic workplace and places a strong premium both on open and honest dialogue and staff participation in decision-making and on relationship capacity. Our program looks for staff with strong relational skills warmth engagement and the ability to set firm limits while maintaining a nurturing stance and consistent routines. The ideal candidate will have an understanding and approach to behavior that: is sensitive to trauma and learning differences emphasizes natural and logical consequences whenever possible and demonstrates an understanding of child and adolescent addition he/she will be able to work collaboratively with a teacher in a classroom of up to six offers an excellent package including school holidays and vacation periods as well as significant contribution towards health apply on line: no phone calls.
