Schedule: Monday-Friday 7.5-hour shift between 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM (exact schedule TBD)
Position Summary
The Child Care Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering developmentally appropriate curriculum using the Reggio Emilia educational approach. This role supports the cognitive social emotional and physical development of children ages six weeks to six years while ensuring compliance with licensing accreditation health and safety standards.
Core Responsibilities

Plan develop and implement classroom lesson plans aligned with Reggio principles

Support cognitive social emotional language and motor skill development
-
Create and maintain a safe clean and engaging classroom environment
-
Observe document and report childrens daily progress and developmental milestones
-
Maintain accurate child records and written reports
-
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers
-
Supervise teacher aides and volunteers as assigned
-
Ensure compliance with licensing accreditation and regulatory standards
-
Implement infection control environmental health and safety procedures
-
Maintain classroom materials toys furniture and play areas to minimize safety risks
-
Monitor playground and classroom supervision coverage
-
Prepare label store and secure cleaning and bleach solutions per policy
-
Participate in staff meetings training sessions and continuing education
-
Collaborate with teachers supervisors and leadership teams
-
Support smooth transitions for children and families
-
Accept alternate assignments and assist with special projects as needed
Required Qualifications
-
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education Child Psychology Psychology or related field
OR
-
High School Diploma or equivalent plus 40 hours of early childhood education coursework
OR
-
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
-
Bachelors or Masters degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education
-
Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
-
Experience working with children ages six weeks to two years
-
Knowledge of the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy
